Meet our Production Coordinator – Hayley Gray
Born and raised in Kingston Ontario, the traditional territories of the Huron and Haudenosaunee people, she grew up in community theatre and activism. When she moved to Nova Scotia to pursue her BA at Dalhousie University where she directed and acted on stage, as well as researching in an addictions laboratory and running the Dalhousie Women’s Centre.
Since making the jump to the West Coast Hayley has completed her training at Vancouver Film School and starred in dozens commercials.
She’s built up a reputation for diversity casting, casting The Switch (OutTV), the world’s first transgender sitcom, La Quinceanera (Lucha Gore – Stage 13), a Latino Gore series with a predominately Latino cast, and many other films.
Hayley has production coordinated features, series and shorts and is excited to jump on board 13 Miles.
She shot her first short narrative, To Go, last year has just finished directing her third music video 4 Push Ups with the Indigenous Hip Hop Duo: Enter-Tribal.
She loves the community drive in independent film and the space created to find targets of opportunity often lost in commercial film.
Hayley has completed two half marathons and is constantly outrun by her triathlete of a mom.
We are very pleased to bring Hayley on board with 13 Miles. She brings valuable experience and an intuition to production, along with great energy and an enthusiasm for the project.
